We were very pleased to be approached by writer / performer Denise Kennedy to produce the identity and publicity artwork for her new touring theatre show ‘Bella’.
The performance tells the true life story of an extraordinary character of Bella, Queen of the Blackfriars Ring. Set during the 1940s Bella’s life changes from vaudeville through to the Blackfriars boxing ring.
To reflect the time period of the show the main image was created in a vintage boxing poster style. Very much inspired by emulating a 2 colour screenprint.
The graphics and design, as always, had to be created to be as flexible as possible, allowing the artwork to be re-purposed dependent on destination. Both landscape and portrait versions of the design were produced to suit a wide variety of media from A5 flyers and A0 posters to web banners and email attachments.
